Digital artwork: You receive a printable digital file through email that can be printed at home or your local print shop. It does NOT include a physical copy of the portrait.

Print/physical portrait: Presently, I only offer digital files. If there is enough interest, physical prints may be offered in the future.

Your artwork will either be horizontal or vertical, depending on the house shape. I choose the orientation which optimises the space for the house.

There will be white space around the artwork to allow for a matt and/or frame. Click here for more info.

Currently, three sizes are offered for the digital portraits: 8x10 in., 11x14 in. or A4. If you need a different size, say for in a photo book, feel free to reach out to me and we can see what I can do.

Always keep in mind, digital files are optimized to print at their intended size. You can try printing it smaller, but small details may be lost. If you try to enlarge it, it will likely be pixelated.

Each purchase of any customized portrait includes one free digital pdf proof.

One round of minor edits is included in the purchase of custom works.

It is important that you keep an eye on your email, and check your spam/junk folder just in case your proof notification emails end up there. If I don't receive a response from you within ten days after I email your proof, your artwork will be auto approved and sent into production "as is".

The scope of changes, whether it be minor and/or major is at my sole discretion.

Edit examples: If you ask to remove a stand-alone object, or adjust/change the background color, or edit text; these would be considered minor changes. Changing the house color scheme, adding any elements, adjusting the whole layout, removal of house components that would alter the whole image would be considered major changes. Major edits may incur an additional fee to complete.

You have 10 days for each proof to provide feedback. The proof will be automatically approved after 10 days.

Remember, this is an artistic interpretation of your house.

Digital proofs are not meant to be printed. The proof will look fine on screen but, pixelated if printed. As well, each proof will be watermarked. Any markings/watermarks will be removed in the final version.

Quick guide

• Use the highest possible resolution (largest image possible)
• Photos should be taken head on, directly in front of the house
• Avoid using any filters. It is preferable to use 1 x (no zoom)
• Keep your phone/camera straight as possible
• Accepted file types: jpg & pdf
• Photos need to be sharp (not pixelated)
• Take closeup of distinctive features on the home (window trim, front door, etc)
• An address that has a good street view of the home on Google maps and/or Zillow would be helpful
• Email your photos to: laura@ljnovascotia.ca and include your order number

If you have a great photo but want a different season, summer or winter, let me know when you send the photos.

Winter to summer: It would be helpful to tell me a little bit about the plants and trees and if there are normally potted plants (and where). If the snow blocks parts of the home, it may not be possible to change seasons unless you have other photos of the parts covered in snow.

Summer photos to winter: If you want snow, please make note of this in the email when you send the photos.

You can choose more than style for an additional fee. Please email me at laura@ljnovascotia.ca before placing your order and I can give you more pricing information. Also include which styles you would want: line, line & fill, and/or fill & shade.

Depending on the time of year and how many folks are in the queue, I may be able to offer a rush order option for an additional fee. You still will have to approve your proof in a timely manner to help the process along. Please contact me before placing your order.

Digital files will be sent via email for you to print at home or print centre.

Refund: A refund, minus $5.00 transaction fee, can only be given BEFORE any work or order processing has begun and/or within 4 hours after purchase. If ANY work has been started, regardless the length of time since your purchase, NO refund is possible.

Exchange and/or Return: My goal is for you to be happy with your purchase(s), and I will do my best to meet your expectations. All sales are final, and NO returns or exchanges are accepted.

You may cancel your project at any time, but all purchase(s) are NON-refundable and not eligible for returns. Depending on where I am in the creative process, will determine whether you receive any print(s) and/or file(s).
